Experience the thrill of the Black Hole Drop!
Begin your adventure with a challenging hike through the Maya Mountains, leading to the mouth of the infamous Black Hole Drop. Positioned over 300 feet above the forest basin, this awe-inspiring sinkhole hovers 200 feet above the lush rainforest canopy below.
With the guidance of our expert caving team, you’ll descend into the abyss using a secure rappelling system. The first few feet spark an adrenaline rush, followed by a heart-pounding 200-foot journey into the unknown, culminating in a breathtaking descent through the rainforest. Though the name suggests darkness, the “Black Hole” isn’t truly black — it’s just that you can’t see the bottom from the start.
Once you’ve made it to the bottom, you’ll recharge with a delightful picnic lunch before tackling the next challenge: climbing your way back out!

Getting There: We primarily depart from Hopkins (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes), Dangriga (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes), and Placencia (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes). Flexible pickup options are available throughout Belize. Pickup from locations outside of our primary departure points will incur an additional fee.
Tour Duration: Approximately 2 hours at the zoo and approximately 30 minutes at inland blue hole (excluding travel time)
